CCMI Unveils New Database Service to Support Call Accounting and Telecom Expense Management

July 11, 2012

CCMI, a provider of telecom data and call accounting solutions, announced the launch of QTEL International, a new service that delivers carrier- and country-specific information of service providers in an easy-to-use database.

The database is designed to address the challenges faced by telecom expense management providers and enterprises with global operations. It also supports the call accounting and corporate chargeback applications of enterprises by helping them identify service providers that operate in a specific country, their service plan for each jurisdiction and the vagaries of each country’s unique dialing plan.

Earlier this year, CCMI published the results of a mid-market telecom expense management trends survey. It found that a lack of sufficient technical and analytical resources hinder telecom expense management in small- and medium-sized businesses (SMB).

QTEL International is a comprehensive database of service providers across the world. The database is updated automatically each quarter. It now provides information on 88 countries and more than 100 service providers to our customers.

“Managing communications services at offices scattered around the world presents unique operational and financial challenges, and the QTEL International database helps overcome many of them,” said George David, president of CCMI, in a statement.

CCMI’s analytics team is competent at tracking hundreds of carriers and rate plans. The new database leverages this knowledge to deliver a quality database product at a very competitive price, David added.

The database service includes standard and negotiated rate plans. It provides accurate pricing for local, in-country and international calls, including mobile termination. The service also supports secure, reliable FTP delivery of databases and updates.

QTEL International Database customer is designed for a telecom expense management solution provider or a traditional call accounting company that uses QTEL International as a core component of their service.

“Accuracy, reliability, and prompt fulfillment are our customer’s most important criteria, and QTEL International is right in that performance sweet spot,” said Michael Yokay, director of sales and client services, CCMI, in a statement.
