RSPB Migrates to New Cloud Community

The cloud is introducing an exciting time, but as we know, with great power comes great responsibility – even if this responsibility is dictated by regulations. We know live in the GDPR era, joined by MiFid II, HIPAA and other compliance measures put in place to protect customer data. Frankly, what says customer care more than protecting sensitive customer data?

Verint announced the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) is migrating its online community to Verint’s (News - Alert) new Community Solution, moving the RSPB from on-premises to the cloud, transitioning from a previous version of Verint’s Community.

“We have a very loyal user base within the community, who are passionate about our work in conservation, protection of birds, species recovery, wildlife and nature reserves,” said Keith Rangasamy, Senior Digital Project Manager, the RSPB. “We wanted to ensure a smooth transition to an improved service that would minimize any impact to our supporters—and Verint offered this.”

The new implementation introduces knowledge management and other features. Noting GDPR adherence as the primary factor for its selection, and its migration to the cloud, the RSPB will leverage the Verint Telligent Community to better support its forum for nature conservancy and storytelling. The solution promises security and GDPR compliance, enabling full management over customer data, and GDPR related processes.

Verint Community, integrated with Verint’s Knowledge Management, assists community members to find information quickly and get answers to questions on their own. “We wanted to take advantage of functionality that allows us to promote user generated content and conversation, and develop our active supporter base across the website,” said Keith Rangasamy, Senior Digital Project Manager, the RSPB. “We want a digital platform that allows us to tell great stories and share the wonderful work our supporters and partners do for nature.”
